Gary Corken is a historical fiction writer based in Devon.

He grew up with a strong connection to Belfast and to military history through family background and service in the Parachute Regiment — experiences that have shaped both the subjects he writes about and the way he approaches them.

His Sons of No Country series follows ordinary people caught in the machinery of the Boer War and the Western Front.

He also writes standalone historical fiction set in Belfast and Devon.

He lives near Dartmoor.
